the Firestarter Necklace

the Firestarter Necklace is for the creatives, the innovators, the change makers, the risk takers, and the cycle breakers. It just takes one spark to ignite a mighty blaze, some of us are that spark… don’t be afraid to strike a match, and let your light shine.

The matchstick design was born from experimentation when I was melting scrap silver pieces from making tapered cuff bracelets. I was melting the scraps to forge backplates for the We Want to Live Like Trees Collection, and as I watched the silver turn bright orange, starting to melt from the tip of the scrap piece into a ball, I saw the shape of a matchstick. From the scrap pile to be recycled, a design was born. 

+ Handcrafted heavy gauge reclaimed sterling silver matchstick pendant

+ Pendant is 1 ½” long from top of bail to bottom of pendant and ⅛” wide at widest point

+ 2mm sterling silver bead chain is 16” long with a 8” drop 

+ 18, 20, 24, and 30 inch sterling silver bead chains available upon request

+ Hand fabricated by me start to finish using hand tools
