the Curated Vintage Collection

i love to slowly pick through vintage shops searching for things that speak to me. old things have so much feeling to them, the stories they hold, and the history of a far gone time within their matter. 


i can’t keep everything i find so i started this collection to share my love of vintage goods with you. it isn’t about mint condition pieces for me, in fact most times it’s the opposite kind of things i’m drawn to… the foxing on the pages of a 1970’s paperback book, the sun fading and thinned softness of a 1960’s bandana, or the texture of an old embroidered patch.

the River Collection

Rivers have universal themes that cross cultures and are part of our ancestral connections to the earth as human beings.  They are in our DNA.  Whether it's the innate human desire some of us are simply born with to swing flies on their waters in search of fish, or that yearning to dip and submerge our bodies in them... rivers are in our blood.

the Lilac Wood Collection

Made with handcrafted lilac wood cabochons set in reclaimed sterling silver. The raw lilac wood was processed start to finish by hand cutting, sanding, and polishing. No oils or finishes have been adding to the wood so as not to diminish the unique lilac coloring. Over time the wood will naturally darken. Do not get the wood wet. 

Meet the Artist

Hey, I’m River and I’m happy you are here.  I live and create in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota on Oglala Sioux ancestral land.  My wife and I live a slow, simple life here with our two rescue pups...and that’s exactly how we like it.  Spending time in the mountains I am surrounded by not only inspires my work, but it restores and recharges me.  When I’m not tinkering away in the studio you can find me outside trail running, hiking, tenkara fly fishing, camping or just sitting by the water somewhere sipping a beer and enjoying the beauty around me.

The time has finally come when I’ve been able to check another sustainability goal off my list. Recently, I sent all the scrap silver I had to be recycled. Any new sheet silver I purchase going forward for hand fabrication will be reclaimed/recycled sterling silver.
