the Safe Passage Necklace

The Makau is a Hawaiian fish hook that is symbolic of abundance, strength, and safe passage over water among Polynesian cultures. My hope is that this piece brings you good fortune and safe passage wherever you go. 

+ Wood Makau (Hawaiian fish hook) pendant on an hand-beaded necklace with black Czech glass beads, and coconut wood and petrified wood accent beads. Beaded on a waxed thread closed with a waxed knot under a brass bead.

+ Makau hook pendant is 2 ¼” long and 1 ½” wide at the widest points 

+ Bead strand is 26”  long with a 13” drop
