the Grateful Hat [ re-worked Stetson Mexican Palm Straw Hat]

The Grateful Hat is a lightly used Stetson Mexican Palm Straw Cowboy Hat that I have given a different style and breathed new life into. I slightly relaxed the brim and gave it a more riverside or a day in the mountains feel than the day at the rodeo vibe it started with. I handcrafted the reclaimed sterling silver Grateful Dead style lightning bolt hat pin, and hand braided a new hatband for it from an up-cycled tie dye t-shirt. Your new favorite hat for summer hikes, lake days, and fishing adventures.

+ Stetson size Medium fits head sizes 22 ¼-22 ⅝” (56-57cm).  Hat sizes 7-7 ⅛”.

+ To measure your head: Use a measuring tape or a piece of string you can measure. Draw the tape or string around your head from the back, around the sides about ⅛” above your ear, to the middle of your forehead. Hold the tape firmly but not too tight.
