the Juniper Rustic Rebel Pine Necklace

When I started calling these hand cut pine trees Rebel Pines a couple years ago it planted the seed in me to change my business name to Rebel Pine Studio. 

I felt so connected to the idea behind these pieces, the idea of living life in a rebellious way that was counterculture to what the norm of modern society dictates, and it began to change me from the inside without my even knowing it. 

Rebel Pines aren’t necessarily a specific type of pine tree, but could be one of many different types. As I looked at them when they were complete, the word rebel came to mind because they are wild and unruly looking. This is exactly how they grow in nature, imperfect in shape and size. They grow tall and wide over many years.  They adapt to changes in weather patterns and seasons.  They do it without hurry. They live slowly and steadily without concern for what the world around them is doing… which is an act of rebellion in a world that tells us to hustle for our lives, not even to thrive, but to simply survive.

This Rebel Pine and Sonoran Gold Turquoise Pendant is inspired by the Rocky Mountain Juniper tree.

+ Rebel Pine pendant is 1 ⅛” long from top of bail to bottom of pendant and ⅝” wide at widest point

+ Sonoran Gold turquoise pendant is 15/16” long from top of bail to bottom of pendant and ⅝” wide at widest point

+ 2mm sterling silver bead chain is 18” long with a 9” drop 

+ 16, 20, 24, and 30 inch sterling silver bead chains available upon request + Hand fabricated by me start to finish using hand tools
