the Rebel Pine Necklace

The Rebel Pine Necklace is back! If you’ve been following my work for awhile you have seen the Rebel Pine before in various different designs.

Rebel Pines aren’t necessarily a specific type of pine tree, but could be one of many different types. When I first started making these the word rebel came to mind when I looked at them because they are wild, and unruly looking. This is exactly how pines grow in nature, imperfect in shape and size. They grow tall and wide over many years.  They adapt to changes in weather patterns and seasons.  They do it without hurry. They live slowly and steadily without concern for what the world around them is doing… which is an act of rebellion in a world that tells us to hustle for our lives, not even to thrive, but to simply survive.

 This necklace is a wearable reminder to live with a Rebel Pine state of mind.

+ Handcrafted heavy gauge reclaimed sterling silver pendant with hand cut rebel pine tree cut out

+ Pendant is ¾” long from top of bail to bottom of pendant and ⅜” wide at widest point

+ 2mm sterling silver bead chain is 24” long with a 12” drop and lobster clasp

+ 16, 18, 20 and 30 inch sterling silver bead chains available upon request

+ Hand fabricated by me start to finish using hand tools
