There are times when the urge to roam seems to burn inside my bones. Whether it’s in my backyard exploring the Black Hills, a short road trip, or a nice long adventure into uncharted territory… when the open road and adventure call, I know it’s time to get out the map, and roam. Don’t underestimate the power of a good book to soothe this ache either.
This necklace is a reminder to find adventure in the everyday, right where you are, or to take that trip you’ve been dreaming of.
*** This is the original prototype dog tag pendant I made for the Roam Collection. It has been lightly worn, just enough to give it a little bit of that vintage flavor you find in well worn pieces. I will leave adding the rest of the patina up to you. It has been touched up and polished, but I left some smalls signs of wear that give this piece character. I re-imagined this original piece with an hand beaded strand of cream, turquoise, and red Czech glass beads with a mixture of Italian glass and turquoise stone accent beads. Two larger Royston turquoise teardrop beads accent the sterling silver pendant. Strung on heavy duty waxed thread and closed with a waxed knot under a handcrafted reclaimed sterling silver bead.
