the Seijaku Earrings
the Seijaku Earrings
Seijaku is a principle of the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi. It embodies the ideas and feelings of tranquility, an energized calm, and stillness.
Something about the texture and feel of the hammered finish evokes the feeling of tranquility within me. Maybe it’s the similarity it has to the reflection of light dancing in still water, or the way it feels soothing to touch, but it is calming to me. What does it evoke in you?
The Seijaku Earrings are finished with a heavy patina finish and polish that will age beautifully with time and wear.
Made with wabi-sabi in mind, these earrrings are imperfect, made by hand, and not meant to look like it was made by a machine. They are cut and shaped by my hands start to finish.
